Selected, A Scandinavian fashion brand, is one of Bestseller’s companies, created in 1997. Bestseller is a Danish ready to wear distribution group, started in 1975 by Merete Bech Povlsen and Troels Holch Povlsen. Apart from Selected, they also own other famous brands like : Vero Moda, Object Collector’s Item, Vila Clothes, Only, Selected Femme, Junaroze, Y.A.S. and Mama-licious, all dedicated to women, Jack & Jones and Selected Homme for men, Outfitters Nation for young audience, Name It for kids and babies and many others.

In the beginning, Selected was only “Selected homme”, which collections were dedicated to men, with two well separated ranges : “Homme and Tailloring” for sophisticated style and “Denim and casual” for casual outfits, which were sold in Jack & Jones stores as this latter is also Bestseller ownership. In 2008, the company expanded to “Selected femme” for women collection, which style shows glamorous and attractive design. That same year, Selected stores got separated from Jack & Jones. The brand created 19 stores worldwide and this number kept increasing during the following years.

Selected target was to insert the Nordic and Scandinavian style in the international fashion world. They employ more than 200 people, of which each member is deeply passionate and dedicated to their team and to their work, and that ensures the high quality of the production. Selected collection is now spread in 44 retail stores and more than 2.500 wholesalers in 25 countries around the world.

Created in 1997, Selected is a brand of the international clothing company BESTSELLER, a Danish family business founded in 1975. Present in 25 countries in the world, Selected is a unique interpretation of classical art of clothes making. In a contemporary style, the Danish brand offers current looks in a simple and unrefined style, allowing each person to express themselves through the clothes.
